The Poverty of Science

From darkness to the triumph of reason.

(See here the scientific arguments that support our website and which are also present in the text of The Poverty of Science)

The world is not at all what we imagine. The conscience of people - including my parents, friends and even the greatest celebrities - is totally mistaken. We are all alienated and ignorant (vir obscurus). The notion that human beings currently have about things does not correspond to the facts, as the Brazilian composer Cazuza would say. In other words, it has nothing to do with how things are in fact.

We are still in the age of darkness (of ignorance and disinformation), or in pre-history, as Marx used to say.
But that has to be changed. Of course, the society we live in has always been in transformation once everything moves. And to change what is out there is not easy at all. It is a tough task and may last various centuries. However, we can’t stand with our arms across, just watching the destruction of life on the planet.

Modern life has even advanced in many aspects. But, in general, it runs toward unreason since, moved by irrationality and ruled by the capital, it marches at a fast pace to the destruction of life on the planet. Thus, the human species risks disappearing, and this has (it is even possible) to be avoided.

So, we must change the course of this erratic transformation that man and the planet are going through. We need to redirect the world to the right path, that is, to make it run toward scientifically correct advances. And the only way to attain this goal is to recognize and understand why we are on the road to destruction and why it is necessary to correct the planet’s route. The best way to start this task is to read The Poverty of Science.

In our daily routine, we must adopt practices that, based on scientific rigor, might be able to demolish modern society; official science; the principles that govern our lives; the institutions; and everything you think and believe. And the reason for that is: everything is wrong in its base, and things just can’t continue to be like that because we are running fast toward auto-destruction.

Obviously, we can’t make this achievement from one moment to the other. But, as long as we let ourselves be taken by reason, it is still possible. This is the purpose of both this website and the book The Poverty of Science, which you should start reading right now.
