What we are searching for
The goal of this website, as well as of the book The Poverty of Science, by Tom Capri, is to demolish modern society by using strictly scientific criteria. Its text is the baseline for this website. Uniquely guided by reason, The Poverty of Science deconstructs today’s science and scientists; the principles ruling our lives; the institutions; and everything you think and believe. This is so because, as you know, we are all ignorant and alienated (vir obscurus); society is totally upside down; and everything is wrong with the human being. So, we need to change that before life is extinguished from the planet. We know that this task is arduous, complex and long lasting. But it is possible. And the best way to start and get there is reading The Poverty of Science.
alienated, or a vir obscurus
You may perfectly be alienated, or what I call a vir obscurus: an individual that still hasn’t understood the reality and ignores that he ignores it. In other words, he is even unaware of his own ignorance. If you think you are a vir obscurus and want to get rid of it, don’t get discouraged. Start reading The Poverty of Science. It will set you free from this tragic condition.

The world is not at all what we imagine. The conscience of people - including my parents, friends and even the greatest celebrities - is totally mistaken. We are all alienated and ignorant (vir obscurus). The notion that human beings currently have about things does not correspond to the facts, as the Brazilian composer Cazuza would say. In other words, it has nothing to do with how things are in fact.
We are still in the age of darkness (of ignorance and disinformation), or in pre-history, as Marx used to say. But that has to be changed. Of course, the society we live in has always been in transformation once everything moves. And to change what is out there is not easy at all. It is a tough task and may last various centuries. However, we can’t stand with our arms across, just watching the destruction of life on the planet.
